No it's not necessary. For a private service, you do not need a doctor's prescription to see a physiotherapist. This will make a thorough assessment and, if necessary, can advise you to consult a doctor. In addition, if you consult following a work accident (CNESST) or automobile accident (SAAQ), you must have a medical report to access this service. For more information, please contact us.
During the first physiotherapy session, the professional will take the time to assess your condition in order to give you a detailed clinical impression. Thereafter, a treatment plan (including in particular advice and exercises to do at home, as well as the number of treatments suggested in the clinic) will be suggested in order to allow you to return to your regular activities as quickly as possible. A first treatment will also be given to you during this session. Allow approximately 1 hour for each appointment.
Yes, in the vast majority of cases, your group insurance or your private insurance will reimburse the cost of treatment at our clinic. On the other hand, it will be up to you to make sure of this with your insurance company, and it is up to you to send them the receipt that we will give you after you have paid for your treatment.
